What a night we all had!! The disco was a HUGE success and we’d like to give a massive thank you to everyone that came along and said hi, and as for those who couldn’t make it, don’t worry we’ve got plenty of party ideas up our sleeves so we’ll see you at the next one! With all your help we were able to raise over $2600 for the initiative which will go towards purchasing tickets for sports games, gigs, and festivals for our clients as well as fund future events.

The night started with a social event – Relate-Ability, hosted by one of our very own Devon Washington. Relate-Ability’s main goal is to break down the barriers preventing people from from having dating opportunities. On the night we had 2 jumbo jenga’s and 2 jumbo connect-4 games to encourage individuals to have fun together, as well as conversational cards to inspire conversations and help individuals get to know one another.

We had a local band, Leucadia, come in to play us some groovy tunes and get everyone in the mood to dance. ABBA was played and that was a big hit, definitely a party song none of us can get sick of. Lips were moving as everyone sang along to songs they knew, foots were tapping and hips were swaying as the crew got ready to bust out the dance moves.

As the night progressed, we had the one and only Bring a Plate dance crew come along to teach us some new dance moves (definitely something I needed). Notable dance moves included the macarena, a large conga line, and the dougie 🕺🏻

To keep the party pumping, DJ duo – Cheek2cheek came along and spun some tunes for the remainder of the night. Lots of throwback songs were played to keep up with the disco vibes and many partied and dance until their feet couldn’t hold them up anymore.
