Special Mention: State of Origin 1 screening at Let’s Go Studios ❤️💙
The atmosphere at Let’s Go Studios for Game 1 of the 2026 State of Origin was absolutely electric 🏉💥 From the moment the crew arrived, you could feel the excitement building as maroon jerseys filled the studio and everyone settled in for one of the biggest nights on the footy calendar.
Before kick-off, the crew tucked into a seriously elite pre-game feed of chicken and chips from Chargrill Charlie’s — the New Farm franchise owned by Jack Gosiewski . Safe to say it was the perfect fuel for a massive night ahead 🍗🍟
As always with Origin, the game delivered every possible emotion. The room erupted with every Queensland moment, groaned through the tough patches, and rode every single high and low together. One of the biggest talking points of the night came in the 57th minute when Queensland fullback Kalyn Ponga was sensationally sent off — leaving the entire studio in complete shock 😱 You could hear the disbelief echo around the room as everyone tried to process what had just happened.
Even with all the chaos, the energy inside Let’s Go Studios never dropped. Nights like these are what the community is all about — good food, big reactions, passionate footy fans, and sharing unforgettable moments together. Origin always brings the drama, but experiencing it surrounded by the crew made it even more special.

May on the Field: Big Crowds, Big Moments 🏉⚡
May delivered another massive month of sport, with the Let’s Go crew filling stadiums, backing our teams, and soaking up some of the best live sporting atmosphere Brisbane has to offer 🙌
The Queensland Reds gave us plenty to cheer about, grinding out impressive victories over the Brumbies and Fijian Drua. While a tough outing against the Chiefs didn’t go their way, the Reds showed plenty of fight throughout the month and kept us on the edge of our seats until the final whistle 🏉
The Brisbane Lions had a mixed month at the Gabba, finishing with a 50%-win rate from their home appearances. There were still plenty of highlights, big marks, and moments that had the crowd roaring, proving once again why footy at the Gabba is hard to beat 🦁
Unfortunately, May wasn’t kind to the Brisbane Broncos. Two appearances at Suncorp Stadium resulted in two losses, extending their current losing streak to four games. The results weren’t what we were hoping for, but the atmosphere, passion, and support from the maroon faithful never wavered ❤️💛
The Dolphins had a brighter month, giving their fans more reasons to celebrate and continuing to build momentum as the season rolls on. Their performances brought plenty of excitement and helped balance out the ups and downs of a busy month of rugby league 🐬
And then came the biggest sporting weekend of the year. Women’s State of Origin kicked things off before three huge days of NRL Magic Round transformed Suncorp Stadium into rugby league heaven. Packed stands, non-stop footy, and unforgettable moments with the crew made it the perfect way to cap off an action-packed month.
From rugby union to AFL and rugby league, May reminded us why live sport is always better together ⚡
Social Scenes: Big Nights, Good Company & Plenty of Fun 🎉
From indoor playgrounds to festival fields — May’s social calendar delivered something for everyone.
One of the standout moments of the month was our visit to the brand-new Adults Only Night at Area 51 in Ipswich. Giant slides, obstacle courses, climbing challenges, and a whole lot of laughs proved that growing up is definitely optional. It was pure chaos in the best possible way and quickly became one of the most talked-about events of the month 🙌
The music lovers were spoiled too. Vanessa Amorosi brought her powerhouse vocals to The Triffid, delivering a night packed with nostalgia and singalong moments, while Groovin’ the Moo in Lismore gave the crew a full day of live music, festival vibes, and unforgettable memories with friends old and new 🎶
Back at home base, our regular Saturday Socials and Karaoke Nights at Let’s Go Studios continued to do what they do best — bringing people together. Whether it was belting out favourite songs, sharing laughs over snacks, or simply catching up with friends, these nights reminded us that some of the best moments happen in the simplest settings 🎤✨
We also swapped the stadium lights for the silver screen when we headed along to Billie Eilish’s highly anticipated “Hit Me Hard & Soft: The Tour” concert film. Seeing one of the world’s biggest artists on the big screen was a treat for fans and music lovers alike.
To round things out, we stepped into one of television’s most iconic worlds at The Friends Experience in Uptown. From recreating famous scenes to snapping photos on the orange couch, it was a nostalgic trip down memory lane and a chance to relive some classic moments from a show that has brought laughs to generations ☕📺
From concerts and festivals to social nights and unique experiences, May was packed with opportunities to connect, try something new, and make memories together. Just the way we like it 🎉
