April gave us a string of public holidays, warm weather, and the perfect excuse to hit pause and soak up everything that makes Let’s Go so great—community, connection, and fun! With some well-earned long weekends, our crew made the most of every moment, from packed stadium to creative workshops.

And the big news of the month… after being gifted a car by Kia and the Broncos last December (yes, a whole car! ), we finally picked it up this month—and it’s a total game-changer. It’s shiny, spacious, and ready to help us get more people to more events. Massive thanks to our mates at the Broncos and Kia for backing our community in such an incredible way. 💛🚗

🏉 The Broncos ran the show this April!

It’s no secret—the Broncos are a Let’s Go favourite , and April brought us three massive matches to get around. We kicked things off with a win against the Tigers, kept the energy high against the Roosters, and wrapped the month with an epic night at Suncorp for Broncos vs Bulldogs. There’s nothing like being in the stands with your mates, jerseys on, hot chips in hand, and the whole crowd roaring with every try. Whether it’s your first game or your fiftieth, coming to the footy with Let’s Go just hits different .

We also caught the Dolphins vs Panthers and Dolphins vs Storm, which added extra spice to the NRL schedule, and rugby fans got their fix with Reds vs Brumbies and Reds vs Blues. And let’s not forget the roar at the Gabba as the Brisbane Lions took on Collingwood in a blockbuster AFL clash.

🌴 Beach hangs, cosplay dreams & good times galore

Social events were in full swing this month—and wow, did we make the most of it. Our two beach days were an absolute treat, complete with surf lessons, stunning lunches and beach games. There’s something magical about being by the ocean, surrounded by mates, with the sound of waves and laughter all around.

At X-Golf, we hit the simulated golf course—turns out we’ve got some seriously sneaky talent in the crew. And Candyland Putt Putt was like stepping into a pastel dream world—think giant lollipops, sugar-sweet vibes, and plenty of hole-in-ones (or very enthusiastic attempts!).

For all the pop culture fans, we hit the Gold Coast for Supanova Comic Con, and our community SHOWED UP. There were cosplays, collectibles, panels, and pure joy. (Brisbane’s Supanova is still to come—so get your outfits ready!)

Our Board Game & Video Game Trivia Night was also a hit—controllers, questions, and competitiveness galore. We wrapped the month with our always-loved Friday Night Social, which gave everyone a chance to unwind, share stories, and feel the love. 🍿🌊👾

🎶Beats, Icons & Byron Bay Vibes

April’s music scene was next level . First up: Bluesfest. Our crew road-tripped it to Byron Bay for a weekend packed with sunshine, soul, and so many unforgettable sets. Arakai and Tim were front and centre living their best lives, surrounded by great vibes, tasty food and that unbeatable festival energy. From laid-back acoustic sets to dance-worthy headline acts, it was one for the memory books.

Back in Brisbane, we had some huge moments too. We threw it back with the legendary Cyndi Lauper—singing along to Girls Just Wanna Have Fun was a whole mood—and turned up the glam for RuPaul’s Drag Race: Werq the World, where Sasha & Anetra stole the spotlight (and our hearts). Glitter, attitude, and standing ovations all night long 💅✨

But one of the coolest moments of the month? Yellowcard returned to Brisbane, and Chris got to MEET THE BAND! 🎸👏 After a killer live show packed with all the early-2000s nostalgia we could handle ( Ocean Avenue, anyone? ), Chris had the chance to chat with the crew, grab a photo, and tick off a serious bucket list moment. Huge!

🎨 Creativity, calm and connection

April was packed with workshops that sparked creativity and brought the community closer.

First up: Sip n Paint with Zaide—our very own support worker and amazing artist. With brushes in one hand and mocktails in the other channelled our inner Picassos. The final artworks? Seriously impressive.

Then, Hayden, hosted a wholesome Terrarium Workshop that had everyone getting their hands dirty (in the best way). Each person walked away with their own little glass garden, and the vibes were pure chill . A perfect weeknight activity that brought nature, calm and connection into one.

Meanwhile, our Dungeons & Dragons crew were deep in their fortnightly quests—rolling dice, telling epic stories, and working together to save fantasy worlds from goblins, dragons, and the occasional awkward bard. 🐉🌿🎨

April was exactly what we needed—a month to pause, recharge, and spend time doing what we love, with the people who make it all better. Whether you were front row at a concert, adventuring through a D&D campaign, or laughing through a surf wipeout, thanks for bringing your energy and heart to every event.
