SEPTEMBER RECAP

SEPTEMBER RECAP

The Good Times kept rolling on in September.

September at Let’s Go: Riverfire, Camping & Plenty More 💙

September was another huge month at Let’s Go, but two experiences really stood out from the crowd - Riverfire and our first ever Let’s Go camping trip!

We headed out to experience the excitement of one of Brisbane’s biggest nights of the year! It was a night full of energy, excitement and plenty of “WOW!” moments, and getting to experience it together made it even better. There was a huge group of us - around 50!

Our first Let’s Go Camping trip 🏕️

This was a chance to slow things down, escape the busy city and enjoy some time surrounded by nature. Campfires, fresh air, good food, plenty of laughs and just enjoying each other's company made it a pretty special first camping adventure.

For us, camping was a brand-new experience, which made seeing everyone settle in, get involved and enjoy the serenity of the outdoors even more rewarding.

🏉 Sport

September brought plenty of sporting action!

We watched the Dolphins take on the Warriors at Let’s Go Studios, followed the Dolphins through their NRL semi-final against the Roosters, caught the Brisbane Bullets vs Illawarra Hawks, enjoyed the AFL Grand Final at Stones Corner Hotel, and got up close to the huge machines at Monster Truck Spectacular.

We were definitely sad to see the Dolphins knocked out in the semi-finals, but there was plenty to celebrate with the Brisbane Lions winning the AFL Grand Final! 🦁🏆

Whether it was watching together at the studio, heading out to the games or finding somewhere to cheer from, sport continues to be one of our favourite ways to bring everyone together.

🎉 Socials

September was full of fun, new experiences and plenty of chances to socialise with our friends.

We had plenty of laughs and note-hitting at Karaoke Night, explored Hijinx Hotel, hit the greens for Landers Pocket Golf, knocked down some pins at Bowling Night, danced the night away at Clubbing Night and enjoyed another relaxed Saturday Social.

These events are about so much more than the activity itself. They're opportunities to meet people, grow friendships and feel part of something.

We've loved seeing familiar faces become regular event buddies, new friendships develop and participants become more confident trying new things and connecting with others.

That's what inclusion looks like to us: everyone having the opportunity to get involved, have fun and find their people.

🎶 Music, Art & Culture

September was absolutely massive for music, entertainment and culture.

One of the biggest highlights was BIGSOUND, where Let’s Go was part of the Event Care / Concert Care crew behind the scenes. Our team helped support a safer and more inclusive environment, with a focus on diversity, inclusion, respect, accessibility and cultural safety. And, of course, we still managed to get out and enjoy plenty of the entertainment!

We caught The Damned, bringing their legendary punk energy to Brisbane, while The Cruel Sea delivered their unmistakable Australian rock and blues sound.

Electric Callboy brought their completely over-the-top mix of metal, electronic music and huge party energy, while Jason Derulo brought the big pop, R&B and dance hits.

We stepped into the colourful world of the Jim Henson Experience, celebrating the puppetry and creativity behind some of the world's most recognisable characters.

Generations & Dynasties offered something very different, combining First Nations storytelling, music and cultural knowledge across generations.

For theatre lovers, The Choir of Man brought live music, humour and high-energy pub-style entertainment to the stage, while Anastasia: The Musical delivered a classic Broadway-style musical experience.

We also enjoyed the fabulous Myki Meeks & Nini Coco, bringing big personalities, drag, comedy and plenty of high-energy performances to the stage.

Missy Higgins brought her warm, heartfelt singer-songwriter style, while Aaron Chen had us laughing with his dry and quirky stand-up comedy.

Then there was Oz Comic-Con, giving everyone the chance to dive into the worlds of movies, TV, gaming, comics and pop culture.

From punk and metal to pop, comedy, theatre, drag, First Nations storytelling and pop culture, September once again showed just how many different ways there are to experience music, art and culture in our community.

💙 More experiences. More connection. More Let’s Go.

September was a month of firsts, big celebrations and plenty of memories.

From watching fireworks explode over Brisbane to sleeping under the stars, cheering on the Lions, dancing at concerts, trying new activities and simply spending time together- every experience gave us another opportunity to connect.

That's what Let’s Go is all about.

Getting out. Trying new things. Meeting people. Building friendships. Feeling included.

And with plenty more adventures already on the calendar, we're not slowing down anytime soon.

Same heart. More adventures. Let’s Go! 💙
