Memories Made in August

August was one of our biggest months yet – every week was jam-packed with events, and the energy never dipped. From coffee catch-ups to concerts and footy finals vibes, the highlight reel is endless. A special mention has to go to the EKKA 🎡 – a favourite time of year for so many of our crew, and this year’s celebrations felt extra magical.

Game Day Glory

Our sporting calendar was stacked – Broncos vs Rabbitohs, Broncos vs Dolphins, and Lions clashes against both the Swans and Hawthorne. Each game brought its own edge-of-the-seat excitement and plenty of cheers from the crowd. The NRLW matches gave us even more reason to celebrate, with participants proudly backing their teams.

A huge highlight was getting an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Suncorp Stadium 🏟️. We walked through the sheds, stepped onto the field, and soaked up the magic of game day from a whole new perspective – all before settling in to watch the action live. The buzz of live sport is always electric, but sharing it side by side made every win, loss, and nail-biting play unforgettable.

Nights Full of Magic & Music

August also turned into a month of music and magic. DJs and a full-on rave at AM Social set the pace, while Club Broadway had us singing our hearts out. We caught big names like Keith Urban, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, and even the mind-bending tricks of Cosentino. Add in Top Gun Maverick in Concert, Glow in the Dark Monster Trucks, and the pure joy of being together at a show – and you’ve got a month that had it all.

Good Times & Great Company

From the simple joy of our AM Social coffee mornings to belting out tunes at karaoke night in the studio, August was all about connection. Greazefest had us step into a new role as accessibility coordinators, showing that Let’s Go is not only about fun but also about creating spaces where everyone belongs. The floristry workshop filled the studio with colour, while Burleigh Hill and Alexandra Headlands reminded us how good it feels to be outdoors together. And of course, Saturday nights with the crew always turned into memories worth holding onto.

Looking back, August was more than just a calendar of events – it was a month full of laughter, connection, and those little moments that turn into lifelong memories. Whether you were cheering at the footy, dancing at a concert, or sharing a dagwood dog at the EKKA, August was proof of how special this community is.
